Vinted Users Share Frustration About Sizing Changes
Members of the platform have expressed outrage following a change that caused items being listed as the wrong size.
The popular resale platform has updated its size classifications for female and kids' apparel but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.
Social Media Backlash
Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms claiming that product pages now present an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed because of the remapping.
Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with other platforms.
The platform has recommended to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, causing user dissatisfaction.
Sizing System Modifications
Before the change, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.

One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22.
"Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Manual Updates
Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she said.
Service Background
The platform boasts over 100 million shoppers, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has become a favored option versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time that an unexpected update on the platform has faced criticism: last year, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices due to shopper criticism.
