Incredible $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
